Intro to Stop Motion and Hand Drawn Animation is a beginner's guide to using these simple and fun technologies to accent work with moving images. The 90 minute class will focus on the basic principles and technical specifics of these two animation techniques. Students will use Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro in addition to Pixlr, a free alternative to PhotoShop. By the end of the class, students will have completed a small project highlighting their new knowledge and skills, and will be ready to continue exploring and expanding on what they have learned.
INSTRUCTOR: Vivianne Njoku, Filmmakers Without Borders
Vivianne Njoku is the director of Cultural Sustainability for Filmmakers Without Borders and teaches Media Arts at the International High School in Manhattan. She has taught social justice art education at Rutgers and NYU.
