SYNOPSIS
A washed up Hollywood director is trapped in a remote castle by his own fears until the arrival of a mysterious woman offers him possible salvation. Inspired by Dostoevsky's 'Notes from the Underground', Johnny Walker attempts to answer the burning question: Is living a long life vulgar, immoral or just plain bad manners?
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Kris De Meester is an award winning indendepent filmmaker. His debut film 'FOUR ROSES' was selected in over 15 international and independent film festivals worldwide. Awards include 'best film' at the Memphis International Film Festival and 'best no-budget film' at the Cannes Independent Film Festival. Most critics see the film as ‘an early Jim Jarmusch’. Producer credits include POR LAS PLUMAS (Toronto, San Sebastian) and MENTHOL (Brooklyn, Santa Barbara, Sofia). De Meester' day to day job is casting director. In the last 20 years he's worked for Lars von Trier, Wolfgan Becker, Koen Mortier, Terence Davies and Philippe Grandrieux.
