The Emotional Dimensions of the James River // Michelle Marquez // USA // RT: 3 mins // WATCH TRAILER

This experimental film provides an emotional roller coaster experience that was musically and visually designed based on a neuroscience research project that correlates a mathematical parameter (fractal dimension) of sounds and images with the selective triggering of emotional states. Enlighten yourself by looking at the world from your personal point of view while dreaming inside your curiosity.

Simon // Camille de Galbert // France // RT: 12min // WATCH TRAILER

A man prepares for his final entry onto the grand stage, only to be confronted by his inner self. SIMON is a genre-crossing, dizzying dive; an inside-outside passage through dance. Passage from the imaginary to the reality, from childhood to adulthood. No one is more alone than the actor who enters the stage. No one is more alone than the child who’s about to join adulthood. And when the imaginary joins reality, the figure of childhood explodes.

The Genesis of a Sculpture // Christina Jekey // Belgium // RT: 11min

Christina JEKEY, the film director is a professional sculptor and designer. She decided to make a film on the subject she knows the best, creating works of art. Over the following months, the scenario matures: this will be a story, the story of a work of art. In this film, it is not the artist who speaks in the film but the work of art itself who tells his story: his birth, his encounter with the artist, his life in the studio and his destiny. A poetic text written by the artist is the source of inspiration for the film. The voiceover excels in her performance with her soft, breathily and sensual voice that reinforces the poetic and dreamlike effect of the film. The music of the film is an improvisation by a marvelous Celtic harp. Half documentary, half fiction, it is a poetic, unusual and of course a great artistic film.

The Red Gloves // Billy Schultz // USA // RT: 25min

The Red Gloves Performance Group combines dance, theater and comedy to create a 23 minute single-take comic strip that includes a tea party, a mini-pianist, a broken neck, a cowboy face-off and a sentimental soprano who brings in the rain. A surreal story on a rooftop in New York City with a view of much more than just the city.

Ridden By Nature // Kathi Von Koerber // USA // RT: 65min // WATCH TRAILER

“Ridden by Nature”, is a film about humanities encounter with the Natural world in her most extreme, critical state.
